The EITP is based on the Pearson Edexcel Lower Secondary Programme, and is benchmarked to Key Stage 3 of the UK National Curriculum. Pearson Edexcel is a fully accredited and licensed UK Exam Board and is the UK’s largest awarding body. It provides academic programmes for students between 11 and 18 years of age. What are the outcomes of the EITP?

The EITP closely follows the Pearson Lower Secondary Curriculum, offering students a solid grounding in the subjects they will go on to study when they graduate to a Pearson Edexcel International GCSE programme. In addition to English, Science and Maths, students study a range of subjects in the Humanities and may opt to study extra subjects such as Art and Chinese. There is a focus on encouraging students to develop an active and engaged approach to learning. The EITP provides essential training in Academic and Study Skills to help build a learning toolkit that will carry them through further studies. Students who intend to take International GCSE or GCE A-level or IAL exams in the future will benefit from the strong foundations in essential knowledge and understanding the EITP programme can provide.

At the end of the EITP, students may opt to take external exams administered by Pearson Edexcel. All students who have completed this programme successfully will be eligible to join the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE programme taught at Insworld, Find out more about Insworld’s International GCSE programme here.

What are requirements do I need for the Insworld EITP?

Students joining the EITP are recommended to have achieved CEFR level B1 (IELTS 4.0 or equivalent) in English Language. However, English Language support is a key part of the EITP, as an ability to communicate fluently in English enables students to participate fully in the EITP learning experience.

Students whose level of English is not sufficient to allow them to enroll in the EITP can consider joining Insworld’s English Language programme; English for Academic Study (EAS). This is a practical language programme aimed at providing the language skills and study skills which are essential for effective study in English at EITP level, International GCSE or GCE A-Level / IAL.
